Are you licensed and insured?
Yes, we carry liability insurance through PCI-Pet Care Insurance. As a professional and reputable business, Buddies On Board is a licensed and certified LLC with a USDA Class T transporters certificate and several other credentials in business, animal training and animal care.
What if there is an emergency with my pet?
In the event of an emergency, attempts will be made to contact you immediately. If unable to reach you, we will make compassionate life-focused decisions regarding your pet's health. We will refer to the emergency plan and veterinary release forms previously approved. You agree to reimburse for veterinary bills, prescriptions, any extra care provided or other expenses that may be incurred during an emergency.
What kind of pets do you provide services for?
We have experience with a large variety of domestic, exotic, pocket pets and agricultural animals. We are flexible, open-minded and willing to work with you to satisfy your pet care needs.
How will you gain access to my property?
We recommend all clients have a lock box on-site with two tested keys as the primary means of entry. During the consultation we will provide a lock box for one set of keys to be placed at your property. Placement in an area not visible from the street is recommended, such as a side or back entry. Make sure the two tested keys are in the lock box prior to service. Some clients prefer us to access the home by an electronic entry key pad such as a garage door code. We highly recommend a lock box in case of a power outage or drained batteries, which can cause key pads to malfunction. A key storage lock box gives you and Buddies On Board the best secure access in case of an emergency.
Can I request a specific time for a walk?
All of our care is booked within a time block. Time blocks include morning 7-10 am, mid-day 11 am-2 pm , afternoon 3-6 pm. In the notes area of your service request you may ask for a preferred time within each time block and we will try our best to accommodate.
